The Heritage Prize is a series of contests designed for polos, war canoe houses and social clubs in Opobo kingdom through Dance, Music performances and The Grand parade to display the rich culture and opportunities that exist in Opobo kingdom..
These polos, war canoe houses and social clubs will participate in 2 major contests and will be judged according to their presentations for a grand Prize..
1. The Grand Parade with a star Prize of a Mini Van, will have floats displaying culture and representations of the tourism potentials of Opobo.
* Polos will be judged on attire, creativity and messaging
* each Parade display has 10 mins
* a minimum of a 20 man troupe made up of:
Children
Youths
Elders
* Inspiration is to be drawn from the Opobo culture.. addition from sister cultures are permitted as supporting regalia
2. The Cultural Performance (Dance and Music)
Prize: ( First: 1 million Naira, Second Prize: #750, 000 and Third Prize: #500, 000)
On the cultural performances which will be on Opobo's heritage;
* Polos are to choose a form of presentation from the available options ; Dance or Music or a fusion of booth into 1 is allowed.
* Each presentation will last for 10 mins
